Wanted Wednesday: Cacoon Songo

With summer just around the corner, thoughts turn to lazy days in the sunshine (hopefully!) and we thought that the Cacoon Songo makes the perfect addition to your indoor or outdoor space.

Songo (The Dreamer) is a cross between a hammock and hanging chair, providing the perfect space for those moments when you want to escape and chill out. It is constructed with the innovative fabric “Olefin” renowned for its ability to reject dirt and water while retaining a natural feel and texture.

Created by husband and wife team, Nick and Sarah who have a background in designing and making sails for ocean-going yachts. Nick was commissioned to find to find a new concept in a post-treatment relaxation chair by luxury Spa Hotel, The Scarlet in Cornwall.

The Cacoon was inspired by a holiday to Mexico, when Nick and Sarah came across a colony of hanging nests during a jungle trek. Struck by the unique beauty of the nests and their peaceful nature it set the idea for Cacoon into motion. After months of designing, iteration and testing, it was ready.
