BACKGROUND STORY

Global helps a number of charities to engage their clientele and staff – to ensure their message is heard, and received, in today’s world.

If you know anyone who works at a charity that could benefit from our support, reach out to hello@discoverglobal.co.uk or share this post with them.

STARS is a pan-Dorset charity that offers one to one support, free of charge, for anyone of any age or gender who lives, works or studies in Dorset and has experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their life. If you, or someone you know has been affected by sexual trauma, contact STARS through www.starsdorset.org

Past Inspiration

“When we had the old branding I would put our information in a brown envelope and take it to my meetings to discreetly hand it over. There was no way I would put the old literature on display. It made the meetings very secretive which did not help the process of encouraging people to come forward and ask for help."
Sarah Vile, STARS Independent Sexual Violence Advisor

Future Creation

“The new brand has transformed this experience and is now completely focused on the journey of recovery.”

Website usage results:

July 2018 - 267 visits to the Dorset Rape Crisis website. July 2019 - 1266 visits to the STARS website.

Engagement with their social media has also risen considerably since the brand launch, especially on Facebook.

A lot more self-referrals are coming through the new website. People can either self-refer to the services or an agency or practitioner such as a GP can make a referral into the service. Since the new branding they have seen a rise in the number of self-referrals through the website. A massive increase of 900% on a monthly basis!

“The new brand reflects our inclusivity and ultimately takes a subject that is harsh and harrowing and creates a positive and supportive setting for recovery. We could not have hoped for better feedback from all of the stakeholders and it has been an extremely positive process for the team. We are passionate about the work we do and the difference we make to people’s lives.

We now we have a brand that reflects our passion with a positive, warm and engaging identity to help us reach a wider audience and ultimately help more people.

We can go out with confidence to any event and have 100 times more opportunity to share our story. The team is genuinely bursting with pride.“
