To make our ideas succeed, we balance creativity with strategy, and for Hall & Woodhouse this was no exception.

For the past 13 years we have adventured with H&W to transform a traditional brewery and pub group, into one of the UK’s most loved independent food, drink and hospitality companies.

 

Today, we are proud owners of a prestigious award, imprinted with ‘Hall & Woodhouse Supplier of the Year’.

With fresh eyes, we got to know the landscape we were about to embark on.

 

Hall & Woodhouse are an iconic British family brewery with a heritage dating back to 1777. They boast a healthy portfolio of over 200 public houses in the South of England.

 

13 years ago, the Hall & Woodhouse management team set out to find an agency partner that could help take the group to another level. They wanted help with the development and implementation of a brand strategy that re-enforced the values, heritage and character of Hall & Woodhouse. They desired a collaborative, strategic and creative approach balanced with a strong operational understanding, to help them grow into a market-leading public house group.

The Hall & Woodhouse Marketing Director was first won over by Global’s ability to think differently, take risks creatively and deliver a full 360 in-house service, with the ability to deliver against tight deadlines. The epic journey began.

 

With over a decade of shared history and adventure, Global have gained a deep understanding of the brewery’s business markets and objectives, and have implemented an abundance of projects, remaining true to the brand vision.

 

Projects have included branding, interior design conceptualisation, and implementation of the Hall & Woodhouse flagship pub – a country estate brought to the town of Bath. Others have included the creation of brand guidelines, the H&W visual identity, interior and environmental design across their portfolio of houses, right through to culture embedment of the new brand, inbound marketing and branding of their internal academy.

The Destination.

Global continue to be instrumental to Hall & Woodhouse, by remaining their main support on all point of sale and outbound marketing collateral spanning across print, press and digital formats. These include the design and creation of the food and beverage menus, an internal pocket guide for employees to learn about the H&W values, A boards, conference brochures and consumer digital mailers. Most recently Global are working on conceptualising the guest experience of the Brewery Tour, transforming the brewery into an exciting space that transports customers through the journey of the Hall & Woodhouse, award winning brewing process.

Global continue to deliver a compelling consumer experience across every touch point, and are proud of the exponential growth of the public houses to date. The Hall & Woodhouse brand has transformed from being a traditional pub group and brewery into one of the UK’s most loved independent food, drink and hospitality companies in the UK.
