There are a whole range of reasons why it’s important to spend time getting your hotel or restaurant visual identity and branding just right. It communicates who you are as a brand and who you want to speak to. It can also ensure that you stand out amongst your competitors – crucial for attracting customers.

Recently The Global Group were briefed by The Captain’s Club and Spa in Christchurch to rebrand their bar.

The hotel have recently celebrated ten years of business and following the promotion of champion bartender Tommo to bar manager, the time was right to give their bar a complete refresh. Coincidentally, Tommo’s surname is Quy, pronounced Quay, nicely tying in the hotel’s riverside location with their bar manager.

Inspired by the existing hotel branding, the rebrand of the Quay Bar reinterprets the main logo mark and the visual elements that represent rigging to create the ‘Q’ icon. The branding also retains the existing core colour palette, the dark blue and gold, giving the Quay Bar a classic and luxurious feel.

The Captain’s Club will be launching the new look bar shortly. The revamped space will feature new furniture, state of the art glass fireplace and a brand new nibbles and bar snacks menu.

The relaunch marks an exciting time for the hotel, which recently saw them being named the winner of ‘Best Small Hotel’ at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards and recognised by Brockenhurst College as one of the area’s leading employers.
