02 May Global at Christchurch Food Festival 2017
We’re excited to be the design and print sponsor of the Christchurch Food Festival once again for 2017. We first worked with Christchurch Food Festival in 2015. We refreshed the existing branding with designs that were inspired by some well known landmarks in Christchurch, such as The Priory and the river – all with a foodie element of course.
The Food Festival, taking place this year on 6th and 7th May, has become a key event in Christchurch’s calendar, attracting vital tourism to the town and helps to pump money into the local economy. Since the launch it has become an exciting and fast-growing culinary and business-led event, bringing the likes of celebrity chefs Lesley Waters, James Martin and Levi Roots to the festival.
Highlights for 2017 include a BBQing demonstration in Saxon Square and demonstrations by celebrity chefs, Dean Edwards, Lesley Waters and Alana Spencer, down on Christchurch Quay.
Make sure that you don’t miss out on our very own Darren Mooney taking part in the ‘Cook a Thon’ over in the Demonstration Marquee on Saturday at 2.15pm where he’ll be helping head chefs from Sandbanks Hotel and the Three Tuns.
Here are some more highlights happening across the festival weekend in the demonstration marquee:
Saturday at 11.45am – Over in the Demonstration Marquee, Dean Edwards, winner of MasterChef and resident chef on ITV’s Lorraine will be showcasing a range of dishes from his cookery book including chicken and chorizo salad and avocado and prawn toasts.
Saturday at 12.30pm – Nutritionist Barbara Cox demonstrates recipes to transform your health and well-being
Saturday at 3.15pm – Alana Spencer, winner of BBC’s The Apprentice 2017 and owner of Ridiculously Rich will be demonstrating her delicious bakes and talking about taking part in the Apprentice

Sunday at 2.15pm – Head Chef, Andrew and Bar Manager, Tommo, from the Captain’s Club Hotel bring an Indian Summer demonstration. Andrew will show how to make the perfect coconut and squash curry. Tommo will then showcase delicious gin-based cocktails that a great for summer drinks parties.
Other highlights include the Beer Festival in the Festival Village, featuring local beers and entertainment. Whilst younger foodies should head to The Kids Kitchen where they can learn how to cook a variety of pasta dishes, paella and curries.
The main festival will be running from 5th to 6th May. From 1st to 21st May, you can also enjoy a range of special events and offers from local businesses in the area. For more information and the full listings, visit www.christchurchfoodfest.co.uk
