The Boscombe Creative Alliance launch

bca-header

Last month we attended the launch party for the Boscombe Creative Alliance (BCA), which was founded by our very own Creative Director Darren Mooney in collaboration with Bournemouth Borough Council and other creative agencies based in Boscombe.

Guests from local businesses, schools and universities attending the party at Urban Reef were treated to Conker Gin cocktails and nibbles created by Matt Lawrence. During the evening, we heard more about the BCA and why it was set up from the founders.

The Boscombe Creative Alliance was set up to inspire future generations to work in the creative sector through partnerships with Young Enterprise and local Sixth Forms. It also aims to attract new creative talent to the area by creating opportunities for emerging businesses, as well as generally championing Boscombe as a great place to live and work!

Members of the BCA include creative agencies such as ourselves and Make Studio, as well as digital agencies such as Orbital, Lexis Click and Top Cat Media. There are also videographers, Treehouse Digital and animators, Small Fry Animation. Amongst them there are copywriters, A Thousand Monkeys, Caron Khan PR and Business Development Consultant and Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe who champion local emerging artists and creatives in a diverse range of events.

Darren commented, “It’s fantastic to be part of a progressive group of businesses and shine a light on the opportunities available in the creative hub of Boscombe.”

The launch was a great event and hopefully it has kick-started some exciting ideas and collaborations as a result. Check out photos from the evening below.
